Reason, Season, Lifetime – How Do You See Your Relationships?

I have experienced a life of ups, downs, and uncertainties just as you may have. I realize that many things happen for many reasons even though I may be unsure of what those reasons are at that time. I have also become more aware that I have certain people who have come into my life, that actually have experienced many of the same trials and tribulations that I have through life.

With this in mind, I would like to share something that was shared with me not too long ago. Ever since I first read it, I find myself thinking about the words written and how they relate to each person that I connect with.

You may have seen this somewhere before. And maybe as you read it, it may mean something different to you than it did to me. Even if you interpret what you read here differently that I did, that is okay. I just know that it touched me enough that I have saved it and look back at it quite a bit, and felt it worthy enough that maybe you would see something special in it also. Each time I read through it, I have a better understanding about why certain things happen in my own life.

Also, as I learn more about each person I come in contact with, there are many times when I truly feel, that for some reason, we have been put on a special unknown course that would enable us to eventually cross each others paths in life. I have been amazed at some of the people I have met, and I feel that by my desire to take the time to build a relationship with each person, instead of just trying to sell to them, we each will actually gain so much more than just a business relationship, we are actually building an honest and lasting friendship.

Isn’t that what it’s all about?

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON. . . It is usually to meet a need that you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, maybe, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person may say or do something that will bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they may die. Sometimes they may walk away. Sometimes they may act up and force you to take a stand.

What you must realize is that your need has been met, your desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time for them to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON… It is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done, or may help you see things differently. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! Enjoy it for what it is! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons…Things you must build upon in order to have a solid foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

So the next time that you meet and hopefully build a honest and solid relationship with someone, take time to really open your eyes to what that person brings to your life and what you may be able to share with them.

Life has a way of bringing people together, and putting them in places that will benefit everyone involved. However, if you don’t pay attention, you may never realize just how important that someone is until it may be too late.

Whether it is a business or personal relationship, don’t let an opportunity pass, that may possibly give you a chance to help brighten another person’s life in some way, just by letting them get to know you.

So many people in the world, with each one having so much to share, whether they realize it or not. If each person would only connect with another, with an honest and caring heart, and a true desire to try and understand and accept each other for who and what they are, the world would be a greater place for us all to be.

Because It’s All About YOU! and Changing Yourself and Your Life for the Better
