When networking with other people, whether it is on-line or off, you are not only representing the products and/or services that you find worthy enough to share with others, but you are also representing the company that you may be affiliated with.
HOWEVER, ultimately and most importantly, I believe, you are representing yourself. You will want to make your personal presentation as powerful and positive as it can be.
Your reputation will be developed over time based upon how you treat others, and how you conduct yourself when dealing with them. With all of this said, you are actually building your reputation, also known as, branding yourself.
Always strive to make a great first and last impression. You know, the kind that is authentic, powerful, and approachable. This will give you more of a chance to have a mutual and beneficial relationship with the people you are connecting with.
Have you heard the saying, “leave them laughing”? Well, how about, “leave them wanting more”? More of you and what you are promoting, that is.
Show people who you respect them and yourself by following through on what needs to be done. Prove to them that you care and are devoted to what you do and the time that you have to do it.
Networking and meeting new people can be scary at times. While some people are more outgoing and seem more comfortable when connecting with others, you may be one who happens to be very nervous and unsure of yourself. You just have to keep at it. To keep learning the right steps on what to do and how to do them. To always strive to be better than you were, and eventually before you know it, you will have achieved that level of mastery.
No matter what your current circumstance, you must practice an unshakable belief in yourself. Even if you have a habit of doubting your abilities, you must do your best to overcome that self-doubt and learn to believe that you CAN make things happen.
Believe, have faith and constantly strive to reach that level of personal empowerment that you so desire. You CAN and WILL achieve it as long as you keep learning and then applying all of what you have learned.
I wish you the best in all of your endeavors. You can and will achieve success as long as you have the right mindset.
